400+ Gloucester - Celebrate Gloucester’s 400th Anniversary

This year marks Gloucester’s 400th anniversary and the City has planned a year-long celebration of its rich cultural history with hundreds of free, open-to-the-public events that are sure to appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds.

The events are being held across the City and incorporate programs that are family-friendly and take a deeper dive into the heritage of the region. Over the course of the year, there will be festivals, special events, tours, lectures, musical performances, competitions, storytelling, and the compilation of a commemorative book.

This celebration is meant to honor the stories of all of the people of Gloucester including the native and indigenous peoples who have lived in this territory for more than 10,000. It promises to be an educational and fun year packed with activities across the City.

Here are just some of the upcoming events that you may want to attend. For a full calendar of daily and monthly events visit the 400+ Gloucester website.
